EVM working in partnership with CSM Live, the global leader in branding major events, were selected as the Look and Wayfinding contractors for the inaugural Cycling World Championships held in Scotland in August 2023.
Working closely with CSM Live, UCI, and Glasgow Life, The EVM project management team were present on site throughout the event, supported by our production and installation teams. EVM manufactured installed a wide variety of wayfinding and branding applications at the major competition sites and associated venues in, and around, Glasgow.
This was the world’s biggest cycling event in history incorporating 13 World Championship disciplines and 2,600 elite athletes competing for medals, alongside 8000 cyclists taking part in mass participation events held at the same time.
Over one million spectators attended the event and broadcasting figures for Europe bear witness to the success of the Championships, with more than 80 million people watching the event across the continent. Globally, the event was broadcast on 93 television channels, in 130 countries on five continents.
