COP26

Client : HM Government
Designers : Identity
Location : Glasgow

When the world’s leaders and the media focused their attention on COP26 in Glasgow, EVM was trusted to manufacture and install the branding and wayfinding signage for the conference, which was held at the SEC Campus on Clyde side.

Working closely with London based design and communications group, Identity, on behalf of and their client HM Government, EVM were asked to manufacture and install sustainable large format graphics, branding, and wayfinding signage for COP26 to help ensure the event was carbon neutral.

EVM met the sustainability challenge and produced all the large format graphics and wayfinding signage elements for this globally important gathering, using the world’s most energy efficient LED printing process. This approach enabled EVM to reduce the energy consumption required for printing the entire project by an astonishing 87%! This technique also allowed us to carefully select sustainable PVC free fabrics, sheet materials, and engineered cardboard, all of which are ideally suited to the client’s branding and wayfinding requirements. Graphic elements manufactured by EVM included media backdrops, delegates registration areas, conference graphics, hanging banners, tension fabric panels, LED backlit lightboxes and wayfinding signage.

Naturally, all materials printed by EVM for COP26 were carefully re-cycled after the event. Our commitment to sustainability is well established and appreciated by all our clients. EVM is proud to have held the International Organisation for Standardisation, ISO 14001 (Environmental) since 2012.
