EVM collaborated with a number of partners to produce and install a wide variety of visual marketing projects for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
The largest ever multi-sport event ever held in Glasgow, the 2014 Commonwealth Games transformed the city during the build up and during ‘Games Time’.
After the closing ceremony Glasgow 2014 was hailed as “the standout Games in the history of the movement” by Commonwealth Games Federation chief executive Mike Hooper. It was the third time in their 84-year existence that the Games had been staged in Scotland – after Edinburgh in 1970 and 1986 – and chief executive Hooper went onto say: “In my view, they are the standout Games in the history of the movement,” said the New Zealander of the 20th edition. The way in which the people of Scotland and Glasgow have embraced the Games right from the get-go has been incredible.”
EVM is privileged and proud to have been closely involved with the production and installation of some of the outstanding ‘Look’ and visual marketing projects at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Our work helped to ensure visibility of both the Games, and Glasgow, to a global viewing audience, and helped the City to emerge as one of the world’s foremost destinations for major sports’ and live events thereafter.
