Braille & Tactile Signs

EVM produce braille signs and tactile signs that are DDA compliant.

For those unfamiliar with braille and tactile, braille is a communication system based on the use of dots to represent letters and words. Tactile is where a word is spelled out using a manual alphabet to communicate a message. Both systems assist visually impaired people to navigate their way around buildings.

The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) means that it is now a legal requirement to make your premises accessible to people with disabilities and ‘reasonable adjustments’ must be made to comply with these requirements.

Most organisations are beginning to comply with Government guidelines for signage that assists those with visual disabilities.
