The venerable Old Pulteney is a maritime influenced single malt that has been in production since 1826. EVM collaborated with the brand design and distillery team to create a visitor experience in one of the most northerly distilleries on the Scottish mainland.
EVM crafted the Pulteney Distillery Visitor Centre furniture from American White Oak creating tasting tables inlaid with Corian, bespoke bottling stations and signing table with slate detailing, a range of illuminated tensioned graphic interpretative panels and a beautiful ‘edge-lit’ illuminated Time Line, etched in glass, and framed in Oak.
The retail space incorporated highly regarded Caithness Slate, extracted and engraved locally using a precise high-pressure water jet to show an illustration of the maritime provenance of the brand. The slate was combined with the Oak to create finely detailed display cabinets incorporating discrete LED lighting and a richly decorated counter top. Limited edition and rare bottles of Old Pulteney were mounted onto individual slate plinths with hand made glass covers.
