EVM worked with designer’s Tangent Graphic, City Building LLP and the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Organising Committee to create a world-class working environment for the team charged with delivering the highly successful 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The project transformed a former Victorian building into a contemporary office space in the heart of Glasgow and played a big part in the regeneration of the vibrant Merchant City area. The offices accommodated over 1044 members of staff leading up to the successful delivery of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and left a lasting economic legacy for Glasgow thereafter.

EVM’s scope of work included; a bespoke reception desk made from fabricated Corian with illuminated features and a matching Corian canopy, full colour digital wallpaper, extensive glass manifestations depicting the pictograms representing the 17 individual sports represented in the Games, hand painted murals, CAD-cut vinyl applied directly to the walls, interior wayfinding signage, and all exterior signage including illuminated fascia and pan-folded plaques.

EVM are proud to have been associated with this significant milestone in Glasgow’s recent history.
