EVM are proud to announce that we are now accredited for ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards. The standards were awarded by BSI (The British Standards Institution), a world leader in business and system improvement. These awards will have a positive effect on how we operate as a business and on our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
The ISO 9001 award deals mainly with quality and the issues of having a successful quality management system in place. To gain the award we had to prove that the quality of our products and services met the required standard consistently. The ISO award is a reassurance to our customers that our work is consistently monitored to meet the high standards they require at all times. Our quality system also ensures that our suppliers meet the same high standards, enabling us to deliver our products and services on time, right first time.
The ISO 14001 award helps to control our impact on the environment allowing us to systematically reduce waste and energy as well as exploring alternative materials and processes that are beneficial to our customers and their businesses in helping to reduce the impact their operations have on the environment.
With a policy of continuous improvement, the next milestone for EVM is to achieve accreditation to the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and ISO 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) in the first half of 2012. We will keep you posted …
